(PORTLAND, OR) – January 12, 2009 -- Fog Cutter Capital Group Inc.'s (OTCBB: FCCG) Fatburger unit has announced the opening of its first Maryland restaurant located at Gateway Overlook Shopping Center, 6630H Marie Curie Drive, Elkridge (Columbia), MD, 21075.
The Franchisee for the Maryland market is none other than former Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns offensive lineman, Orlando Brown. Brown came to love Fatburger a few years ago during a trip to Atlanta. The restaurant was recommended to him by another NFL athlete who knew of Brown’s love for good burgers. He was an instant fan and knew he did not want to fly to Atlanta every time he craved a Fatburger and fries. He returned home and contacted Fatburger’s corporate office about bringing the chain to the tri-state area of our nation’s capital. Orlando Brown is so certain his fellow residents will love Fatburger as much as he does that he is planning to open a total of 10 locations throughout D.C. and its surrounding suburbs over the next six years. Brown’s restaurant features 2000 square feet, 55 seats and will create approximately 35 new jobs for Howard County residents. Fatburger is a quick-casual, takeout and sit-down restaurant serving big, juicy burgers custom made to guests’ taste buds. The taste and quality of Fatburger inspires a fierce loyalty among customers that crosses all demographic lines, including Hollywood personalities and sports stars. For more than 55 years, Fatburger has been dedicated to serving big, fresh, 100 percent pure lean beef burgers custom made and grilled right in front of customers.
Every signature 1/3 lb. Fatburger patty is fresh, never frozen and can be indulgently dressed with all the usual condiments plus inspired choices such as chili, bacon and even fried egg. For those with a heartier appetite, there’s a half-pound Kingburger. When finished cooking on an open grill, your order is delivered to your table.
Fatburger’s spacious restaurants feature a hip ’50s-style décor accented with bright colors, neon lighting and stainless steel accents. Rock and classic soul tunes wail from the digital jukebox that has an expansive catalog.
