PHOENIX – Fatburger, the nation’s “Last Great Hamburger Stand,” announces the opening of its newest location on April 7: Chase Field, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Phoenix franchisee, Marcus Walberg, will own and operate the location, which is directly behind the leftfield bleacher section, making it the first Fatburger in the nation inside a professional sports stadium.
The D-backs approached Walberg during last year’s off-season as part of the club’s mission to create a unique fan experience inside Chase Field. With more than 2.5 million visitors to its ballpark each season, the D-backs are striving to provide fans with a memorable experience every time they attend a game.
”We are thrilled to have Fatburger join the team this season and offer our fans a great hamburger while enjoying games at Chase Field,” said Cullen Maxey, the D-backs’ Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships and Marketing.
Walberg says this is a unique opportunity to increase overall awareness for the Fatburger brand.
“Fans enjoy a great local team and they should also enjoy great local food while they are inside the ballpark,” said Walberg.
The new Chase Field location will serve as a hub for Fatburger-D-backs promotions, while the additional six Valley Fatburger locations will be treated to special offers and unique D-backs-themed offerings throughout the season, including signature menu items and co-branded events.
